Hands down, this Air Fryer Pressure Cooker Honey Bourbon Chicken Wings cooked in the Air Fryer won by leaps and bounds. The Air Fryer rendered more fat out of the skin, which gave the skin a nice solid crunch.
The meat itself, was firm, not soft, like after being baked in the oven. Plus, the cook time in the Air Fryer was much shorter than in the oven.
I adore this Cosori Air Fryer! I hated my last one because I had to flip and shake and flip and shake.
While the wings were crisping, I thickened the sauce in the Pressure Cooker. When the sauce was thick, I dunked the wings into the sauce and then placed them back into the air fryer.
The sauce will caramelize on the wings nicely. Look at the gorgeous color! If you like this recipe, you might want to try my Asian Sticky Chicken Wings or my Buffalo Hot Wings.
Wowza, delicious Honey Bourbon Wings from start to finish in under 30 minutes.

One of the main reasons that I purchased my air fryer was to make onion rings.
I absolutely love the taste of thick onion rings like the ones that you get a a steakhouse. However, the thought of eating deep-fried foods would steer me away from ordering them.
So when I purchased my Ninja Foodi, I was so excited to try to make my own onion rings.
However, that all changed after reading horror stories of how homemade french fries and onion rings don’t turn out well when cooked in the air fryer.
I kept searching for the best way to make them, and the most common answer was to purchase a bag of frozen onion rings instead of making them yourself.
In my attempt to eat healthier, I was sadden by this response as I don’t like the amount of preservatives that are used in pre-packaged foods.
So instead of caving in to the recommendations, I was determined to find a way to make homemade onion rings in the air fryer.
How To Make Air Fryer Onion Rings
Therefore, I went to work and began experimenting with various ingredients and techniques.
First I attempted to make a batter like restaurants do when they make onion rings.
I dipped the onion in the batter and put it in the air fryer basket.
Needless to say, that method didn’t work out well at all. The batter slid down to the bottom of the air fryer and all I was left with was crispy pieces of onions and batter that stuck to the bottom of the pan.
However, feel free to add in whatever seasonings that you prefer to your flour base. Sometimes we will add garlic salt or if it is just the two of us, a little cayenne pepper.
The next shallow bowl holds the beaten egg and water mixture that will bind the breading to the onions.
And finally, the third bowl is for the outer layer of the onion rings – Panko Breadcrumbs.
These breadcrumbs adhere nicely to the flour/egg base and make the onion rings turn out nice and crunchy every time.
Because I used my Ninja Foodi Air Crisper for this recipe, I had to cook my onion rings in batches.
You will want a single layer of onion rings in the bottom of the basket so that they cook properly.
However, if you have an air fryer with multiple racks, I am sure you could cook more at a time.
But before you cook them, be sure that you lightly spritz them with cooking oil. This will ensure that the outer layer turns out nice and crisp.
Place the onion rings on the basket or racks and cook at 375°F for 10 minutes. Then after 6 minutes of cooking, flip them over so they brown evenly.
That is all that there is to it! And they come out perfect every time!
So when someone tells you that you can’t make homemade air fryer onion rings – don’t believe them!

Air Fryer Onion Rings
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt divided
1 tablespoon water
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 large sweet onion cut into 1/2-in.-thick rounds and separated into rings
Stir together flour, smoked paprika, and 1/4 teaspoon of the salt in a shallow dish.
In another shallow dish lightly beat egg and water.
Stir together panko and remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt in a third shallow dish.
Dredge onion rings in flour mixture, shaking off excess. Then dip in egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally dredge the onion rings in the panko mixture, pressing the sides so that it sticks. T
Coat both sides of the onion rings with cooking spray.
Place each onion rings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 375°F for approximately 10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on both sides, flipping onion rings at the 6-minute mark. Cover to keep warm while cooking remaining onion rings.
Air Fryer Hot Wings are even better than the buffalo hot wings from the Hot Wings Café on Melrose in Hollywood. Super easy to prepare and great on the wallet.
There is a cute little café on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, called Hot Wings Café. My work colleagues and I often frequented the restaurant for lunch. They make the best Hot Wings!
They offer mild, medium and hot and they are served in little red baskets with French Fries, sticks of celery and Blue Cheese dressing. You can order six, 12, 18, etc. I think we used to get a dozen each. These Better Than Hot Wings Café Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Wings will make you feel like you are sitting in that restaurant, enjoying a meal.
Cast of Ingredients for Air Fryer Hot Wings Better Than Hot Wings Café Buffalo Chicken Wings
Back in the 80’s things I was at the Hot Wings Café and was talking to the Chef about how much I loved the wings. He told me his recipe. It’s simple he said, just two ingredients. He also told me how to vary the heat with those two ingredients.
Years and years later, my husband and I wanted Hot Wings and I told him about the Hot Wings Café on Melrose. We made the wings in our tiny deep fryer as I remembered from the Chef and they were excellent. Friday’s became Wing Night and we needed a larger deep fryer, where we could drain and clean the oil, so we purchased a T-fal Oil Filtration Ultimate EZ Clean Up Deep Fryer and made the best wings. We did change the recipe slightly and guess what? The delicious wings were incredible, better than Hot Wings Café!
After a while, we started making the wings in our oven, but it just wasn’t the same. It did cut down on calories however, so we only fried once in a while. Then my wonderful, lovely, awesome air fryer arrived.
We discovered that with our recipe and our fantastic GoWise 7 Quart Air Fryer (? get this one) we were able to produce incredible chicken wings, even better than from Hot Wings Cafe.
I’ve also turned this recipe into a pressure cooker recipe, which you can find here Pressure Cooker Buffalo Hot Wings. They are super good, but we prefer this Air Fryer Hot Wings recipe better
By the way, if you do purchase your chicken wings whole and prefer them in pieces, I recommend the Kuhn Rikon Kitchen Shears. They self sharpen and cut through bone really well.
Do The Wings Need to Be Single Layer?
No, they don’t.
The air fryer I mentioned above is super terrific and the best I have tried. During cooking, you will shake the basket a few times and that is enough to cook and crisp the wings on all sides.
If you use an air fryer oven, the wings would need to be single layer and depending on brand of oven, may not need to be turned. Some air fryer ovens like this Instant Pot Brand Air Fryer Oven, has a rotisserie and many people like to put the wings in the basket.
Personally, I prefer a medium hot wing sauce and Ed like a hotter hot wing sauce.
Can I Make Mild Buffalo Wing Hot Sauce?
Good question and glad you asked.
With my very super easy recipe you can prepare your sauce, mild, medium or hot….and somewhere in between.
The recipe for all degrees of heat is the same with one minor adjustment. The hot sauce to butter ratio. The recipe card at the bottom will show you how to make varying degrees of hot sauce.
The beauty of my Hot Wing Sauce is that you can make it hotter or more mild after it is prepared! An important thing to remember and will make or break the sauce, is to use Frank’s RedHot® Cayenne Pepper Sauce. I know other brands are also terrific, but for this recipe, the Frank’s is my preference.
The Hot Wings Cafe serves the wings with a side of blue cheese dressing and celery sticks. The wings are not dripping with sauce, which is a good thing. You don’t want them to get soggy, so make sure not to keep the wings in sauce while you are eating.
After saucing them up, get them on your plates and start to enjoy.
Just looking at the Air Fryer Hot Wings makes me drool.
For you chicken wing lovers, I bet you will like my Honey Bourbon Chicken Wings or my my Asian Sticky Chicken Wings. There are tons of chicken wing recipes on my website and I hope you try them all and then let me know what you love.
My new favorite recipe for Wings is my Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken Wings, which incorporates a different method of cooking the wings. Trust me, they are not your regular honey garlic wings. These are something to behold.

Air Fryer Hamburger Hamlet’s Zucchini Zircles with Apricot Sauce is a healthier alternative to the original Fried Zucchini Zircles.
Famous for their Fried Zucchini Zircles with Apricot Sauce, I present to you, Air Fryer Hamburger Hamlet’s Air Fryer Zucchini Zircles with Apricot Sauce. With all the flavor and a fraction of the calories, you are going to want more and more of this delectable appetizer.
My Air Fryer is quickly becoming my best friend, well after my Junie Moon, who is the love of my life, along with my sweet boy, Chester. Chester turned 19 last week.
You only need a few ingredients for the Air Fryer Hamburger Hamlet’s Zucchini Zircles, but before you start preparing them, make sure you have already made the Hamburger Hamlet’s Secret Apricot Sauce and placed it into the refrigerator to chill and meld.
Line a 1/2 Cookie Sheet with Paper Towels. Slice the Zucchini into 1/4 inch round “Poker Chips” and place them on the Paper Towels. The towels will catch excess water, as you want the slices to be as dry as possible.
Dredge the Zucchini in the flour and shake off. Dunk them in the milk completely and flip. Then pass them through the Seasoned Bread Crumbs. You want to make sure not to gunk up your fingers. So, either use tongs or your fingers, like so:
With your dry left hand, put Zucchini into the flour and coat. Shake off any excess. Then drop the Zucchini into the milk on top of the fork and flip. Then, using the fork, pick up the Zucchini and place in the Seasoned Bread Crumbs. With your dry right hand, dredge them through the Seasoned Bread Crumbs. I am right handed. If you are left handed, you might prefer to go from right to left instead.
Alternatively, drop all the Zucchini slices into a Ziploc Bag, add the flour and shake. Then dig them out and go to the milk step.
Place all the Zucchini Zircles on a Wire Baking Rack, so that any lose Crumbs will fall off and not clutter up the Air Fryer Basket.
I use the Fine Life Oil Mister because it works really well and allows me to spray for a longer time than the others I have tried. So, use your Oil Mister and give the Zucchini Zircles a really good spray of Oil.
Carefully, place Zucchini Zircles into the greased Air Fryer Basket. Cook for 8 minutes, making sure to flip after 4 minutes. After flipping, give the Zircles another good spray of Oil.
Here is the weird part. After pulling our the Air Fryer Hamburger Hamlet’s Zucchini Zircles from the Air Fryer, sprinkle them with Powdered Sugar. I do realize that it sounds odd. Trust me on this. Remember, the Air Fryer Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwiches? Some of you questioned me on that and then made them the second time and said, oh, okay, I see the light.

You will never use your deep fryer again, once you have tasted these Air Fryer French Fries, made with only a drop of oil.
French Fries without all the calories, whoda thunk? Homemade deep fried French Fries are so delicious, but come with so many bad calories. The oil needed for good French Fries is so bad for our bodies.
Baked French Fries, while much less calories, aren’t really satisfying and have an odd texture, I think. You know what I mean? They are hard on the outside, rather than crispy and then soft inside. Hard to explain.
Friday night is “Wing Night” in this house and we used to bake our Buffalo Chicken Wings and French Fries, but now, thanks to our Air Fryer, we can have Air Fryer French Fries without all the bad calories.

Air Fryer Crispy Sweet Potato Fries are a great addition to a low fat, heart healthy diet. A sprinkle of Turmeric does a body good!
Air Fryer Crispy Sweet Potato Fries
This yummy and easy to make snack will rock your World! With just a dash of Turmeric Powder and a bit of Ghee or Coconut Oil, coupled with my House Seasoned Salt, the impromptu Golden Paste, adds great heath benefits to these Air Fryer Crispy Sweet Potato Fries.
Cast of Ingredients for Air Fryer Crispy Sweet Potato Fries
Alternatively, Ghee is another great choice for using on these Air Fryer Crispy Sweet Potato Fries. Both Ghee and Coconut Oil stand up well using higher heat. Try making your own Pressure/Slow Cooker Simple Homemade Ghee. It’s easy and oh so delicious.
So, my original photo came out blurry and I only had one Sweet Potato left and needed to reshoot the Ingredients photo. I’m not a photoshop expert but did my best to put a Sweet Potato in the picture. Don’t laugh.
If you prefer your Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries with the skin, skip the peel and use a Sharp Knife to cut the Sweet Potatoes into 1/4 inch slices.
This is another use of my “Secret” Ingredient. Potato Starch does great things to add crunch. Remember my Air Fryer Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken Wings? You guys go crazy for those wings. These Air Fryer Crispy Sweet Potato Fries, have the word “Crispy” in the title for a reason. Your Sweet Potato Fries will be crispy and crunchy, sweet but soft and yummy inside.
Place the Peeled and Cut Sweet Potato Sticks into a baggie and add Potato Starch. Shake the bag to make sure all the Sweet Potato Sticks are well covered.
Shake off any excess Potato Starch and place Sweet Potato Fries into a Medium Mixing Bowl. There should be no loose Potato Starch in the Bowl at all! There should just be a very light dusting. No, flour will not work.
I love cooking with Ghee, especially in the Air Fryer. Well, that’s not true, I love to use it for Stir Frying in my Cast Iron Skillets and I love it in my Instant Pot! It’s got a great nutty butter taste and won’t burn using high heat, like Butter. If you would like to make your own Ghee, check out my Indian Pressure/Slow Cooker Simple Ghee recipe.
Check my Article on How to Properly Season Air Fryer. Place the Sweet Potato Fries in the Air Fryer basket and you are ready to cook. It’s always a good idea to shake the Basket around for more even cooking.

Savory Air Fryer Crispy Old Bay Chicken Wings are crunchy, mildly spicy and full of flavor. Serve them up with a warm Lemon Butter Sauce for dipping.
Everyone knows in this house, Friday night is Wing Night, although sometimes it is Saturday and sometimes, well, we just forget that it is Friday. The point is that we love our wings, especially since making them in our Air Fryer.
Amanda in my Facebook Air Fryer Group posted her wings made using Old Bay Seasoning. Well, Old Bay is one of my favorite seasonings and I make my own Homemade Old Bay Seasoning Recipe. My Air Fryer Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken Wings is super popular, so I decided to use a similar method for these Air Fryer Crispy Old Bay Chicken Wings.
Amanda adds melted butter and Old Bay Seasoning to her Air Fried Wings. I did mine a bit differently.
Potato Starch really crisps up wings and gives them a special kind of crunch that I absolutely love. You can leave it off if you like, but I love that extra crunch. The True Lemon add a very fresh lemon flavor, without watering down the sauce. Plus, if you don’t have fresh lemons, True Lemon is just as good. Seriously.
Pat the chicken wings dry, with a paper towel. Pull off any feathers or hair you may see.
Mix together the Homemade Old Bay Seasoning Recipe Mix with the Potato Starch. For a stronger lemony taste, add a sprinkle of True Lemon. Dredge the wings into the mixture and make sure they are coated well.
I personally prefer to cook the chicken wings with the Homemade Old Bay Seasoning Recipe Mix and Potato Starch mixture and then toss the wings into the hot lemon butter.
I use a large Air Fryer and it holds 20 pieces of wings without a problem. Shake the basket often, so that the coating does not stick to the basket. If you use a smaller Air Fryer, you might want to do this in two batches.
Using a low heat, melt the butter in a small saucepan. If you want a nice lemony taste, sprinkle in some True Lemon. It will taste like fresh lemon when you pour it over the Air Fryer Crispy Old Bay Chicken Wings. You can always sprinkle in some Homemade Old Bay Seasoning Recipe Mix if you like.
Toss the Air Fryer Crispy Old Bay Chicken Wings into the melted butter and serve with fresh lemons on the side. Pour the extra butter into ramekins for dipping. Which is what I did and I totally forgot to put the ramekin in the photo, so pretend it is there in the back.

Air Fryer Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken Wings are great as an appetizer or a main course. Healthier then deep frying, these wings are so crispy and delicious.
Air Fryer Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken Wings
These Air Fryer Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken Wings have just become my favorite chicken wings of all time. They look deep fried, but they are not.
Don’t be tempted to use flour instead of Potato Starch. You won’t get the same effect or taste. Do you remember years ago, sitting down at a Chinese restaurant and perusing the menu?
The waitress or waiter would bring each guest an eggroll, a fried shrimp and a cup of soup. Remember the crunch of that shrimp? It was light, but crackly and crunchy and delicious?
That is the texture and feeling you will get with these Air Fryer Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken Wings.
Lots and lots of garlic infused in butter with sweet honey, make these wings so delicious. There are only a few ingredients and you may be thinking, yeah right, how can this be as good as This Old Gal says.
Keep reading and watching. They are not your everyday Honey Garlic Chicken Wings….they are not!

Make sure your wings have been patted dry. Set them aside for now. For timing purposes, start making the sauce first. While the sauce is cooking, place dried Chicken Wings into a large mixing bowl. Dump the Potato Starch on top of the raw Chicken Wings.
Use tongs so that the Potato Starch does not stick to your fingers. Completely coat the wings with the Potato Starch. No, you may not use flour! No, No, No!!!!!
Trust me, you’re going to thank me if you use Potato Starch.
Use Silicone Tongs, not your fingers to handle the wings. You want to make sure that the Potato Starch does not gunk up and get sticky. You also don’t want to scratch your Air Fryer.
Allow the Chicken Wings to cook for 25 minutes, shaking them every five minutes or so.
Using a small saucepan, heat it on low heat. Add the butter after the pan is hot. Adding a fat to a hot pan, makes the pan non stick!
Add the minced garlic to the saucepan. Allow the garlic to infuse into the butter on low heat for 5 minutes.
You don’t want to sauté or burn the garlic, so be careful to watch the heat. Whisk the butter mixture about every couple of minutes.
At this point, the butter will be nicely infused with garlic and the aroma will be delightful.
Add the honey to the Saucepan and Whisk to incorporate into the butter. Continue Whisking every so often for about 20 minutes. You don’t need to stir constantly, just make sure nothing burns.
The mixture should be at a very, very low simmer.
Shake the wings at the half way point. When the Buzzer sounds, give the wings another shake. Raise the temperature and put them back into the Air Fryer. You can see how nice and puffy and delicious the Wings look, even before the Sauce is added.
The sauce will turn a gorgeous caramel color. That is how you know it is just about ready. It will become syrupy.
It now looks like a caramel sauce. Turn off the heat on the stove. The wings are almost ready.
Look how crispy they look. They are so crunchy and crispy and not oily at all. Don’t they look wonderful? The Potato Starch really allows the wings to crisp up beautifully.
Make sure each wing is dry and crisp. If there are any soft parts, let them cook a bit longer. If you need to shake more for your particular brand of air fryer, do. There is nothing worse than soggy wing skin!
Place the Air Fryer Chicken Wings into a Large Serving/Mixing Bowl and pour on the hot Honey Garlic Sauce. There will just be enough syrup (sauce) to coat the wings.
Toss the wings to coat completely. There won’t be any sauce left over for dipping as all the sauce should stick to the wings.
These Air Fryer Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken Wings are not a saucy type of wing. They will be a syrupy, sticky nature.

Air Fryer Chinese Take Out Sweet ‘N Sour Pork is a healthier option than the deep fried version and is made at home in less than 30 minutes.
Sweet ‘N Sour Pork has always been one of my favorite dishes at Chinese restaurants; the good ones, the cheap Take-Out ones and even Chinese buffets. There is just something about deep fried pieces of juicy pork, covered in Sweet ‘N Sour Sauce that always makes my mouth water. Yes, this Jewish girl loves Sweet ‘N Sour Pork. Actually, most of my Chinese Food choices are with pork. {Bowing head in shame} Oy!
Using the Air Fryer has really opened up a new door for me. I am not one to deep fry food as I don’t like all the grease and fat in my home. Best of all, I know what is in my food. I know my ingredients are fresh and that there is never any standing oil.
In a Medium Mixing Bowl, whisk together eggs and a drop of Pure Sesame Oil. The Sesame Oil is optional. I just like the slight taste it gives to the pork.
Add the Pork pieces to the Potato Starch and coat all pieces.
Using a fork or tongs, pick up one piece of pork at a time and shake off any excess Potato Starch. The coating on the pork should be very light and translucent. Quickly dip the pork into the egg mixture and shake off excess. Dip the pork back into the Potato Starch for another very light coat.
After thoroughly shaking off any excess Potato Starch from the pork, place into your prepared Air Fryer basket. Sometimes, I use Parchment Steaming Papers to keep food from sticking to the bottom of the basket. I spray that as well.
Spraying my Air Fryer basket with my favorite Oil, helps in the cooking process. Spray the top of the pork with your favorite oil. This Fine Life Oil Mister has made my life much easier, as it is a good performing Oil Mister. For this recipe, I like plain old Canola Oil. You will need to shake the Air Fryer Basket a few times during cooking.
While your Air Fryer Chinese Take Out Sweet ‘N Sour Pork is cooking, whisk up a batch of my Simple Sweet ‘N Sour Sauce Recipe. By the way, the above spoon is a Chinese soup spoon and there is a blue graphic on the spoon. It kind of looks like I used a dirty, nasty moldy spoon. I promise, I did not.

Air Fryer Chinese Salt and Pepper Pork Chops are an authentic restaurant quality dish, but at a fraction of calories from deep fried.
Air Fryer Chinese Salt and Pepper Pork Chops
One of our favorite dishes at our local Chinese restaurant is called Salt & Pepper Pork Chops. Deep fried, in all their glory and a zillion calories. Yummy! We order it every time we go out to eat Chinese Food. Well, we USED to order it…..now, I make it myself!
When I first called our local restaurant(s) to place an order (we keep trying new places), I asked for an authentic recommendation. Salt & Pepper Pork Chops, I was told. Hmmm, what is it I asked. Two pork chops fried with salt and pepper.
Well, okay, two of ’em??? For that price? How many people does it feed. A few. Two chops? Just two? Okay, I took the chance. The Styrofoam container was full to the brim. How can that only be two pork chops I wondered? I thought I heard wrong.
Cast of Ingredients for Air Fryer Chinese Salt & Pepper Pork Chops
We LOVED the dish. The Jalapeño Peppers were not even spicy. Wowza.
Next time I called another restaurant to place a Chinese Food order and again, I asked, what is your best authentic Chinese dish. Salt & Pepper Pork Chops. How big is the order? Two chops. Okay, you know the rest. See that bowl above?
That is two bone in pork chops, that were cut into cutlets, sort of. Most of the meat is cut from the bone, but some meat remains on the bones. Yum!
They puff up and two chops, really does make quite a bit. We liked them so much in fact, I made an Air Fryer Chinese Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings version. OMG, y’all, the Wings are soooooo good.
I mean really good. These Air Fryer Chinese Salt and Pepper Pork Chops are as good as from your favorite Chinese Restaurant.
Crack open an egg and add the white part to a bowl. If you have a cat or dog, add the raw egg yolk to their food.
Well, only if you want. I do sometimes, but then again, I feed a completely raw diet.
Anyway, add in the salt and pepper and Whisk the heck out of it, until the egg white is very frothy.
Place the pieces of pork, including the bones (which should have some good meat on them) into the bowl with the Egg Whites.
Allow the pork to marinate for about half an hour in the Egg White Mixture. You probably want to put the pork into the refrigerator during this time.
You can take this time to slice up the Jalapeños and the Scallions.
I don’t like a lot of heat, so I remove most of the seeds by running water over the Jalapeño slices.
The seeds are where the heat live.
The taste of seedless Jalapeño after stir frying is very mild and quite delicious.
Here is another tip. I am really big at shopping the sales. I also like to be able to pull something out of my freezer and have all the ingredients.
So, I bought extra Pork Chops and Jalapeños (we grow our own Scallions), sliced them all up and used my Foodsaver. Into the freezer for another meal, ready to cook.
Before using your Air Fryer to make, well, pretty much anything, make sure you read my short article on how to Properly Prepare the Air Fryer for use.
This method will considerably cut down on sticking issues. Make sure never to use Pam when you season your Air Fryer Basket.
It will leave behind a coating, that is impossible to remove. Coconut Oil, Crisco, Canola Oil, all work well.
Transfer the pieces of Pork from the bowl with the Egg White mixture to a large mixing bowl.
Pour in the Potato Starch and make sure the Pork is coated very well.
Use Silicone Tongs, not your fingers to handle the pieces of Pork. You want to make sure that the Potato Starch does not gunk up and get sticky.
You also don’t want to scratch your Air Fryer. If your Tongs get gunked up, make sure to wash the gunk off and dry them well before continuing.
Shake off any excess Potato Starch and carefully place the pieces of Pork into your prepared and seasoned Air Fryer Basket. You can see that my basket is glistening from the light coat of oil. This will help prevent the coating from getting stuck to the Air Fryer Basket. I grease up the sides too.
When “Air Frying,” I don’t usually use a lot of oil or have a heavy hand when I use my Oil Mister to spray the food. In recipes like my Air Fryer Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken Wings recipe, I don’t spray the Chicken at all. The skin from the chicken is enough to make chicken taste “fried.”
The quotes are because this is not a real fryer and food will never taste like deep fat fried food (darn it right?), but, it will be very close and in my opinion, just as good.
The name Air Fryer, I think, leads to some people believing that you don’t actually use any oil. That is incorrect. Oil is used quite often.
But, the amount is usually very minimal. Giving these Air Fryer Chinese Salt and Pepper Pork Chops a heavy handed spray with an Oil Mister, probably only uses a few drops of oil.
Plus, I really want this recipe to taste authentic and deep fried. It will!
Because the Air Fryer uses so little Oil, I do opt for the expensive good oils, as they will last quite a while. My Oil Mister of preference is the Fine Life Brand.
It is a bit pricey, but it works really well. I am a strong believer that cheap stuff costs more in the long run, as things always need to be replaced over and over again.
Place the Air Fryer Drawer and Basket into the Air Fryer and make sure to give them a good shake by using a back and forth motion throughout the cooking process.
Shaking the Air Fryer Chinese Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings often will also help to prevent sticking.
After the initial cook, we will turn up the heat and cook for just a few more minutes.
While the Pork is getting the final cook, it is time to Stir Fry the topping.
This will go fast, so, before you turn up the temperature on your Air Fryer, preheat your Wok or Cast Iron Chicken Fryer. You want it screaming hot.
Add a couple Tablespoons of Canola or Peanut Oil, the prepared Jalapeños and Scallions and some more salt and pepper. Using a Spatula, Stir Fry the veggies for about a minute.
When the Air Fryer beeps, carefully remove the hot Pork Chops and place them in the Wok or Cast Iron Chicken Fryer and coat with the hot Jalapeños and Scallions.
Most of the oil will absorb into the Jalapeños and Scallions, so your Air Fryer Chinese Salt and Pepper Pork Chops will not be greasy, but the taste of the Jalapeños and Scallions will transfer to the Pork Chops.
I guarantee these will taste just like the ones you get at your favorite Chinese restaurant, only better.

Before you gather your ingredients together, you might want to get some potatoes soaking, so that you can make my incredibly delicious Air Fryer French Fries or even some Onion Rings.
How To Tenderize and Pound Air Fryer Chick-fil-A-Chicken?
Place the chicken breast in a large Ziploc Baggie and zip it locked.
Place the bag of chicken on a wooden cutting board.
Use a Meat Tenderizer and pound the chicken until it is about 1/2 inch thick and/or pretty even from end to end.
Don’t throw out this bag after pounding!
What Size to Cut Chicken Breasts
Depending on the size of your buns and chicken breasts, cut the breasts into two or three pieces.
The chicken will bulk up after breading, so check the size of the buns you bought and cut the chicken into pieces that are a bit smaller than the buns.
Buns come in so many sizes and determining size of chicken pieces is totally dependent upon bun size. For slider sandwiches, you may need to cut the chicken into four pieces.
Air Fryer Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich recipe is perfect to use as slider sandwiches at Superbowl parties, New Year’s Eve, Fourth of July picnics, pot lucks and more. Another delicious recipe to use for parties and events is my Air Fryer Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken Wings. OMG, the goodness in these is incredible.
Why Use Pickle Juice for Air Fryer Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich?
Dill pickle juice and peperoncini juice both work well to brine and tenderize the chicken. Dill pickle juice however, will give you the exact taste of the famous chain restaurant.
The chicken will plump up and keep from drying out.
Pickle juice also makes the chicken very juicy while cooking. You can even brine chicken parts and pieces in pickle juice for cooking with other methods.
Fear not, the chicken is not going to taste like one big ole pickle!
My Air Fryer Chick-fil-A Sandwich recipe is great for making a head and storing in the freezer, for when the mood strikes. Another recipe which uses pickle juice as a brine is my Instant Pot BBQ Chicken Sandwich.
In one Mixing Bowl, prepare the flour and seasonings mixture. In another Mixing Bowl, crack open the eggs and Whisk together well.
Can the Chicken Be Frozen in Advance?
Yes, there are two ways to make freezer meals.
Prepare several packages of pounded chicken breast with dill pickle juice and use your FoodSaver Vacuum Sealing System and place into freezer for when a sudden Air Fryer Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich craving hits.
The chicken can also be frozen after the breading has been added. The chicken can be cooked frozen. You will just need to add a few more minutes.
How to Bread Air Fryer Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich
Drop one piece of chicken at a time into the Egg/Milk Mixture.
Use Silicone Coated Tongs (you don’t want to scratch your Air Fryer) and pick up the chicken and place in Flour Mixture Bowl.
Use the Tongs to toss flour over the chicken and flip to make sure the chicken is completely coated.
The pick up the chicken with the Tongs and shake off any excess flour.
The reason I like to use Tongs, rather than fingers, is that the wet with the flour will gunk up on your fingers and make it difficult for the flour to stick properly.
You are ready to Air Fry. I find it is better to cook at a lower temperature and then at the end, increase the temp for a nice crisp finish.
Tips and Tricks for Air Fryer Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwiches
Pound the chicken evenly so that it is the same thickness all around.
When dredging the chicken more is not better. A light layer will do.
Make sure to shake off excess flour.
Grease basket of air fryer well.
Popeyes Chicken Sandwich is basically the same thing! Well, kinda, sorta.
How to make Popeyes Chicken Sandwich
Follow the same recipe as for the Air Fryer Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich and use a brioche bun instead of a white bun.
Slather on Mayonnaise.
You will enjoy this just as much, if not more since you make it in your own home.
You can use your Air Fryer to butter and toast the very soft buns you bought, or, if you love to bake, like I do, use your own homemade Bread Buns. I like to put my Dill Pickle Chips right up on top of the Air Fried Chicken, because they belong on top and not hidden away. Be proud of those Pickles! I also like to add a dollop of mayonnaise to my Air Fryer Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich. Enjoy.

Looks so good, doesn’t it? It’s not reeeeallly pizza, but, hey, when you have a hankering and want it fast. It’s good, really good. You may be wondering why, if I already make a really good pizza, what is up with this recipe.
Well, while I do love my homemade, wonderful delicious Classic Margherita Pizza, there is also room for this Air Fryer 6 Minute Pita Bread Cheese Pizza.
I mean, it’s like really good man. From passing thought in the head to plate in like 10 minutes…what’s not to love? Plus, not everyone is interested in making Pizza Dough by scratch.
If you want to make your own Pizza Dough, my New York Style Pizza Dough is fabulous, so check it out some time.
You might be thinking, hey, what the hell is up with you and all these New York inspired recipes. Well, I grew up in Miami, Florida and both parents were from New York.
My dad was from Brooklyn. At that time, Miami, Miami Beach and the Kendall area were pretty much ‘South’ New York.
Many snow birds and lots of people moved to Miami because of the warmer weather. Wonderful, New York type restaurants open all over the place.
My grandma used to Summer in Miami Beach, like all the other Jewish Grandmas and Grandpas. I also spent a lot of time in New York.
The hubs likes Pepperoni Pizza. Take a spoon and swirl on some Pizza Sauce. Add the cheese and the Pepperoni.
When making real, honest to goodness, Pizza, you need a very hot oven. Pizza only needs a few minutes to cook.
In the Air Fryer and with Pita Bread, we need a lower temperature for a longer time to give the Pita a chance to warm up and not burn, since it is already cooked.
The Toppings will have a chance to cook through and the Cheese will become bubbly. The Air Fryer 6 Minute Pita Bread Cheese Pizza, will be done in just 6 minutes.
Air Fryers tend to cook quicker than ovens, I have found and different brands of Air Fryers cook different from each other.
Therefore, keep an eye on the Pizza, as yours might be done in 5 minutes, or it may be 7 minutes.
So that the Cheese and Toppings don’t fly all over the place, use a Short Legged Trivet to keep things in place.
My husband, who KNOWS New York Pizza better than most people…… actually enjoys this Air Fryer 6 Minute Pita Bread Cheese Pizza recipe. He worked in the City for Years and has had Pizza from everywhere. He also says my New York Style Pizza Dough recipe has the right bite and chew and tastes like the best New York Pizza. He is not one to hand out compliments easily, so…….

I have to show you the jewelry tree that Mark built for me using old doorknobs and an old porch post we salvaged from one of the old houses we dismantled in Jacksonville. (The porch posts supported the old carport.)
I knew one of them was destined to become a jewelry tree when I spotted this inspirational idea on Pinterest.
The first thing I did after buying several orphaned, old knobs at an antique store was clean the old porch post.
Then, Mark made a wooden stand for the post since it needed to sturdily stand upright.
After that was done, we drilled multiple holes in the porch column. We staggered the holes so that my necklaces would hang freely.
Also, we chose a drill bit that was slightly smaller than the doorknob hardware. After the holes were drilled, we gently forced the knob hardware into the holes. It was such a snug fit, we didn’t even have to glue them.
Next, I had an old round finial that I thought would look pretty on top of the post so that was nailed to the top of the post.
After that, I liberally painted oil-based polyurethane to the entire jewelry tree and allowed it to dry throughly.
We brought it into the house the next day, and I had fun arranging my jewelry on it.
I’m delighted how it turned out!
